Sr. Network Analyst (W2 Only Onsite Local to Houston)

Job Type: Contract-to-Hire

Job Description:

We are seeking two experienced Sr. Network Analysts to support enterprise-level networking initiatives for a large energy company. This is a W2 contract-to-hire opportunity for local candidates.


Responsibilities:

  • Configure and manage Cisco ASA and Palo Alto firewalls (Panorama required)

  • Support complex network environments, troubleshoot routing/firewall issues, and manage hardware

  • Interface with and manage 3rd-party engineers during firewall migration projects

  • Monitor and maintain network using tools like SolarWinds, Wireshark, and Splunk

  • Assist with wireless, router, and switch configuration

  • Provide technical support to corporate and field locations


Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco routers, switches, ASA firewalls

  • Panorama and Palo Alto firewall configuration experience (not just troubleshooting)

  • Strong knowledge of EIGRP, BGP, IPSEC/SSL VPNs, and network security

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to clearly communicate with technical and non-technical teams


Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with tools like SolarWinds, Splunk, Riverbed, or Gigamon

  • Familiarity with Cisco ISE/NAC, VoIP/Collaboration tools

  • Previous experience in Oil & Gas or industrial field environments
