Neos is seeking an Oracle WACS Work Management Consultant for a long-term contract with our client in San Antonio, TX.

-Must-have skills:
1. Deep Functional Expertise: Proven experience configuring and deploying Oracle Work and Asset Cloud Service (WACS), specifically Work Management components (e.g., work orders, crews, task templates, dispatch).
2. Utilities Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of field service operations, maintenance planning, and regulatory compliance specific to electric, gas, or water utilities.
3. Work Order Lifecycle Management: Ability to design and optimize end-to-end work order processes: initiation, scheduling, execution, and close-out.

Role: Oracle Work Management Module Lead
Role Description:
Seeking an experienced Oracle WACS Work Management Consultant to support our WACS team in designing, configuring, and optimizing work management processes within Oracle Work and Asset Cloud Service (WACS). This role will focus on implementing best-in-class work order management, scheduling, and dispatching practices to drive operational efficiency, data integrity, and seamless integration with broader asset management workflows.
The ideal candidate will have deep functional knowledge of work management in utilities or similar asset-intensive industries, with a proven track record of deploying Oracle WACS or equivalent EAM solutions. They will collaborate closely with workstream leads, project managers, and technical teams to ensure alignment between business requirements and system capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Work Management Process Design:
o Lead workshops to define and map work management processes, including work order creation, scheduling, execution, and close-out.
o Document process flows, user stories, and functional requirements aligned to WACS capabilities.
System Configuration and Setup:
o Configure work types, service requests, maintenance activities, and task dependencies within WACS.
o Define task templates, priority codes, and business rules to optimize work order efficiency.
o Set up work management hierarchies, including parent-child task relationships, job steps, and service level agreements (SLAs).
Integration and Data Management:
o Collaborate with integration leads to ensure seamless data exchange between WACS and other systems (e.g., GIS, ERP, SCADA).
o Validate data models and interfaces for work orders, crews, resources, and cost management.
Reporting and Analytics:
o Support KPIs for work management efficiency and operational performance.
Testing and Quality Assurance:
o Develop and execute test cases for work order lifecycle processes, including functional, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
o Identify and resolve configuration issues, data gaps, and process bottlenecks.
Training and User Support:
o Support training to promote effective work management practices.
o Provide ongoing user support and address functional inquiries as needed.
Key Skills:
Oracle WACS Expertise: In-depth knowledge of work management within Oracle WACS, including work order lifecycle, asset integration, and scheduling optimization.
Utilities Industry Experience: Familiarity with utility-specific work management processes (e.g., preventive maintenance, emergency response, field service).
Technical Proficiency: Experience configuring WACS components, including Work Orders, Service Requests, Crews, and Scheduling.
Integration Knowledge: Understanding of integration points with related systems (e.g., Oracle ERP, Maximo, GIS).
Analytical Mindset: Strong ability to map business requirements to technical configurations and data models.
Project Leadership: Ability to lead workshops, manage stakeholder expectations, and drive process improvement initiatives.
