Opportunity Overview
Team Overview:
Senior Business Systems Analysts provide detailed support to teams through requirements gathering, development, analytics, documentation, and testing collaboration. They leverage a deep understanding of specific products, processes, workflows, and data to help teams identify and address viability risks, including legal compliance and privacy constraints, for prioritized initiatives. They assist in creating or refining detailed user stories and acceptance criteria when the product owner requires support. Additionally, they ensure teams are informed of upcoming changes and help coordinate communications or other efforts to ensure successful solution delivery.

Position Requirements
What You'll Need:
Candidates who live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office three days per week, with a preference for Tuesday through Thursday.
Salary Information
Edward Jones' compensation and benefits package includes medical and prescription drug, dental, vision, voluntary benefits (such as accident, hospital indemnity, and critical illness), short- and long-term disability, basic life, and basic AD&D coverage. Short- and long-term disability, basic life, and basic AD&D coverage are provided at no cost to associates. Edward Jones offers a 401k retirement plan, and tax-advantaged accounts: health savings account, and flexible spending account. Edward Jones observes ten paid holidays and provides 15 days of vacation for new associates beginning on January 1 of each year, as well as sick time, personal days, and a paid day for volunteerism. Associates may be eligible for bonuses and profit sharing. All associates are eligible for the firm's Employee Assistance Program. Team Overview:
Senior Business Systems Analysts provide detailed support to teams through requirements gathering, development, analytics, documentation, and testing collaboration. They leverage a deep understanding of specific products, processes, workflows, and data to help teams identify and address viability risks, including legal compliance and privacy constraints, for prioritized initiatives. They assist in creating or refining detailed user stories and acceptance criteria when the product owner requires support. Additionally, they ensure teams are informed of upcoming changes and help coordinate communications or other efforts to ensure successful solution delivery.
Here are a few of the key responsibilities:
- Lead strategic initiatives to align client expectations, user needs, and product capabilities, synthesizing insights into actionable recommendations. Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions, driving measurable user value and firm outcomes
- Collaborate with the development and testing teams to clarify requirements during defect resolution. Prepare test scenarios, facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by conducting walkthroughs with end-users, and addressing test-related questions & lead UAT planning and execution, ensuring business stakeholders are prepared and engaged.
- Proactively identify, document, and prioritize complex issues impacting project delivery, business processes or system functionality, ensuring timely resolution through collaboration with stakeholders and technical teams. Monito issue trends to provide strategic insights and recommend long-term process improvements to mitigate recurring challenges.
- Use advance data analytics to drive insights and support strategic decision-making.
- Document requirements in a clear and concise format, collaborate with stakeholders across departments to gather insights, & mentor and guide junior analysts, ensuring alignment to standards
- Act as a support resource for development teams by clarifying basic requirements and ensuring documentation is accessible and up to date, act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the development team, ensuring clear communication and alignment on requirements, & strategically manage the relationship with development teams, ensuring the solution aligns with business goals and is delivered efficiently.
- Help prepare user guides, training materials, or quick-reference documents, collaborate with project managers and technical teams to finalize deployment plans, & oversee deployment plans and ensure alignment with business strategy and organizational goals.
- Mentor and Coach junior and entry level BSA's, contributing to team development and knowledge sharing

Position Requirements
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent experience
- 6+ years of experience with Workflow Management tools including:
- Proficient in advanced tools and techniques for complex requirement gathering
- Expert in business analysis methodologies, strategic planning, and department/enterprise analysis
- Previous experience with Agile and/or Product Management concepts (such as user story writing, Agile events, and backlog refinement)
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools to provide working system prototypes and scenario modeling.
- Previous experience with data extraction and BI tools (SQL, Oracle Reporting Studio, Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
