The SAP Programming Consultant will provide functional and technical expertise related to the design, development, testing, and ongoing maintenance of SAP software. Key SAP components supported include Personnel Administration, Organizational Management, Time Management, Payroll, Fiori-based portal, Finance, Materials Management, Supplier Relationship Management, and SuccessFactors Learning Management System.


Role & Responsibilities

< data-start="710" data-end="743">General Responsibilities</>
  • Collaborate with analysts, designers, and system owners to support testing of SAP programs and applications.

  • Provide SAP support including analysis, development, testing, issue tracking, and resolution.

  • Participate in team activities to enhance skills, awareness, and quality of work.

  • Document processes, system designs, development work, and testing activities.

  • Perform data updates using SAP LSMW and EPI-USE Data Sync Manager (DSM).

  • Work closely with functional teams to design high-quality, efficient technical solutions.

  • Deliver error-free, optimized SAP solutions with minimal supervision.

  • Utilize working knowledge of HR cluster tables and dynamic action enhancements.

  • Provide problem resolution for SAP support issues and maintain documentation and support logs.

  • Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and resolve system performance issues.

  • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.

< data-start="1701" data-end="1741">Daily Duties / Responsibilities</>
  • Participate in the design, development, review, debugging, and unit testing of HEI interface processing.

  • Develop, test, and implement ABAP programs and modifications within SAP HCM.

  • Create and configure Enterprise Structure (Personnel Areas/Subareas) and Personnel Structure (Employee Groups/Subgroups).

  • Coordinate with development teams to maintain integrated, optimized, and standardized system objects.

  • Perform data retrievals using SAP ad hoc query, report painter, and standard SAP tables.

  • Prepare detailed technical documentation according to project methodology.

  • Support project lifecycle activities, ensuring timely completion of milestones and signoffs.

  • Create and configure Organizational Plans and Organizational Structures.

  • Work effectively under pressure and within tight deadlines.

  • Contribute independently or as part of a team as needed.

  • Apply extensive experience in WRICEF (Workflows, Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms).

  • Perform LSMW/BDC programming using session and call transaction methods.

  • Apply SAP software updates and OSS note evaluations as needed.

  • Conduct and document unit testing, including test script development.

  • Provide after-hours support as required.

  • Collaborate with functional and business stakeholders to design and implement robust SAP solutions.

  • Offer technical insight and support to functional and development teams.


Required Skills (Ranked in Order of Importance)

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or related field OR 10 years of equivalent experience in computer systems development and modification.

  • 4+ years of SAP HCM functional experience in a professional environment.

  • Understanding of SAP portal technologies.

  • Functional knowledge of SAP HCM and SuccessFactors.

  • Experience with SAP mail services via standard APIs.

  • General understanding of accounting processes.

  • Experience with enterprise-level ERP systems.

  • 1+ year of SAP workflow experience.
