Overview
We are seeking a Knowledge Graph Developer to support an East Coast based biotech company s AI and data platform initiatives. The role involves enhancing a Neo4j-based knowledge graph integrating biomedical, clinical, and patent data to enable intelligent search and discovery for R&D and commercial use cases.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and extend Neo4j graph databases and related APIs.
- Build and optimize Cypher queries for data ingestion and analytics.
- Collaborate with biology and data platform teams to model entities such as genes, proteins, targets, trials, and patents.
- Integrate graph data with AI/ML pipelines and visualization tools.
- Participate in agile development and occasional onsite workshops (NYC/NJ area).
- Contribute to potential future migration planning toward AWS Neptune.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Neo4j (v5 or later), Cypher, and GraphQL APIs.
- Experience in building or querying knowledge graphs or ontologies.
- Familiarity with AWS services (Neptune, Lambda, API Gateway).
- Proficiency in Python or Java for API and ETL development.
- Understanding of biomedical or life sciences data models
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
