Overview
Job Title: Software Engineering Associate Manager
Employer: PepsiCo, Inc.
Location: 7701 Legacy Dr, Plano, Texas, 75024
Responsibilities
Duties: Design, develop, and maintain scalable front-end solutions using modern development technologies like React, JavaScript, HTML5/CSS3. Utilize advanced problem-solving skills to identify, diagnose, and resolve complex front-end development issues, ensuring high performance, scalability, and seamless functionality of web applications. Follow and enforce best practices in front-end development, code quality, and performance optimization in line with industry standards. Lead engineers in the design and implementation of new front-end features, leveraging modern frameworks, while mentoring junior developers. Collaborate with User Experience, Product Management and Backend Engineering team to build responsive and user-friendly digital products. Develop cloud-based web applications, leveraging services on Azure, to ensure scalability, reliability, and security. Manage and appropriately escalate delivery impediments, risks, issues, and changes tied to the engineering initiatives to the stakeholders. Proactively bring the latest technologies and development tools to the team.
*Telecommuting permitted 40%: work may be performed within normal commuting distance from the PepsiCo office in Plano, TX

Qualifications
Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related and five (5) years of experience in software development OR a Master's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related and two (2) years of experience in software development. Must have five (5) years of experience (or 2 with Master's) with: Utilizing JavaScript, HTML5/CSS3 to build responsive and interactive front-end applications; Integrating frontend application with backend service using RESTful API and GraphQL; and Front End Development and using version control tools for collaboration development and efficient code management. Must have four (4) years' experience (or 2 with Master's) with: Building and deploying application in cloud environments, enhancing scalability and availability. Must have three (3) years' experience (or 2 with master's) with Front end testing to ensure application reliability and performance. Must have two (2) years' experience with: Leading projects and guiding team members to successful project completion, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing within the team. Must have one (1) years' experience with using React framework to build Morden web applications.
Salary: $160,800- $175,000 / year
