Job Title: Senior Business Process Reengineer

Location: Lansing, MI (Hybrid)

Duration: 12+ Months

Job Summary:

  • We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Process Reengineer to support the enhancement and ongoing maintenance of the Consolidated Application.
  • The successful candidate will serve as a strategic liaison between business units, field consultants, internal technology teams, and vendor partners. This role requires a deep understanding of business process analysis, requirements gathering, and the software development lifecycle (SDLC). Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Analysis & Improvement and Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
  • Review, document, and analyze existing grant-related business processes and workflows.
  • Identify opportunities for optimization and recommend process enhancements.
  • Evaluate federal policy changes and advise stakeholders on application updates.
  • Facilitate meetings with business and technical stakeholders.
  • Serve as the primary contact for field consultants on system-related issues.
  • Provide clear communication on issue resolutions and project updates.
  • Manage operational support requests and enhancement tickets through Azure DevOps.
  • Collaborate with technical and vendor teams to ensure timely issue resolution.
  • Translate business requirements into actionable technical specifications.
  • Leadership & Team Coordination and Operational & Technical Liaison
  • Lead and mentor a team of business analysts.
  • Delegate and track tasks to ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Facilitate and lead requirements-gathering and review sessions.
  • Documentation & Knowledge Management
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation in Microsoft SharePoint.
  • Ensure all decisions, workflows, and process updates are recorded and accessible.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business process reengineering, analysis, or similar roles.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC and software project lifecycle.
  • Proven experience supporting complex IT web applications.
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work across multiple internal and external teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft SharePoint, Azure DevOps, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and self-management abilities.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience with federal, state, or local grant management systems.
  • Experience developing wireframes, mockups, or prototypes using Figma or similar tools.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices.
