IT Risk and Compliance Analyst

Description

We are seeking a Senior Risk Analyst Contractor to support Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) initiatives across a wide range of programs and projects. This role plays a key part in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks while ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in risk analysis, governance, and internal controls, along with excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Support enterprise-wide risk management efforts across business units and vendor engagements.
• Maintain and update risk records and documentation within the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) system.
• Represent the Risk function in project teams to ensure appropriate risk oversight on key initiatives.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business challenges and develop risk-informed solutions.
• Conduct interviews with business units to document processes, risks, and controls.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of ERM policies and procedures.
• Support internal controls documentation, including risk assessments and control narratives.
• Facilitate the full risk management lifecycle: identification, analysis, response, reporting, monitoring, and certification.
• Contribute to third-party risk management processes in collaboration with Procurement, Legal, and Information Security.
• Partner with the Information Security Office to support the organization's security program.
• Assist with business continuity and disaster recovery planning, including updates to the Business Impact Analysis (BIA).

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Enterprise Risk Management, governance, risk, and compliance.
• Strong knowledge of risk identification, assessment, and mitigation methodologies.
• Familiarity with business continuity, disaster recovery planning, and business impact analysis.
• Experience with risk and security frameworks such as NIST 800-53, ISO 27001, COBIT, or COSO ERM.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing environments.
• Experience drafting policies, procedures, and process documentation.
• Ability to interpret and analyze risk documentation, including flowcharts and process maps.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as CISA, CIA, or CRMA.
• Experience in the financial services industry.
• Knowledge of internal controls in finance and cloud/application security environments.
