Job Description

We are seeking an Onsite Coordinator with a strong background in mechanical design and project coordination within the medical device or healthcare domain. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with offshore teams, manage cross-functional communication, and ensure seamless execution of design and manufacturing projects.


Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate design and manufacturing engineering activities for plastic, casting, and sheet metal components, including mold design.
  • Manage new product design operations, detailed manufacturing drawings, and collaboration with hardware, firmware, verification, and mechanical design teams.
  • Define project requirements, prepare and track project plans and timelines, and lead weekly engineering review meetings with offshore teams and client SPOCs.
  • Conduct design feasibility, manufacturability, and risk assessments, ensuring compliance with IP6X, UL, and IEC standards.
  • Prepare DFMEA, support verification testing, and ensure compliance with design control processes.
  • Lead Design Specification Reviews (DSRs) with global and local suppliers.
  • Ensure adherence to cost, quality, and schedule goals across programs and projects.
  • Maintain and manage DHF and DMR documentation, including manufacturing drawings, BOMs, assembly instructions, design change reviews, and impact analyses.
  • Perform tolerance analysis to validate design requirements.
  • Collaborate on prototype manufacturing, verification testing, and supplier interactions for proof-of-concept builds.
  • Work with fluidic simulation, thermal analysis, and FEA teams for design validation.

Project Management Skills

  • Proven leadership and relationship-building capabilities across global teams.
  • Strong organization, planning, and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to create and maintain project documentation independently.
  • Facilitate effective communication with clients and suppliers, providing updates on project progress.
  • Track and manage project action items using tools like MS Project and MS Office.
