Description
The IT Specialist serves as the critical link between the business unit and clients corporate IT teams. This role ensures seamless IT operations, infrastructure reliability, and manufacturing system support, while driving continuous improvement in IT processes and user experience.
Responsibilities
IT And Infrastructure Management
- Serve as the primary liaison between the business unit and corporate IT teams (Server, Network, Security, Application Development, etc.).
- Communicate current and upcoming IT initiatives to management and end users.
- Troubleshoot and support Microsoft Teams Room setups; develop and maintain user setup guides.
Hardware And Software Support
- Lead and coordinate corporate IT upgrades (e.g., server/LAN refreshes, laptop/desktop deployments, printer upgrades) with minimal disruption to operations.
- Manage printer installations, updates, and troubleshooting.
- Maintain organization of IT rooms and spare equipment storage.
- Improve network port identification and physical connection management.
Manufacturing Support
- Provide first-level network troubleshooting in collaboration with engineering to minimize downtime of manufacturing IT systems.
- Act as a support and escalation point for local IT resources handling hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
Systems Support
- Ensure all IT servers and workstations are up-to-date with security patches and updates.
- Deliver high-level support for key manufacturing systems such as Cognex, Mahlo, and AWAQS.
- Support physical security systems including access control, camera systems, and security gates.
Qualifications
- Associate s or Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of continious experience in IT support, infrastructure, or systems administration.
- Experience supporting manufacturing environments is a strong plus.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
