Description
We are looking for an experienced IT Security Specialist to join our team in Cincinnati, Ohio. In this role, you'll be responsible for designing and implementing robust security solutions that safeguard the organization's systems and data. This is a long-term contract position where you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain enterprise-wide security architecture frameworks that align with organizational objectives and regulatory standards.
Collaborate with enterprise architecture teams to establish strategic security initiatives that support innovation and digital transformation.
Conduct thorough risk assessments, threat modeling, and security gap analyses for both new and existing systems, providing actionable recommendations.
Create and refine security policies, standards, and guidelines, integrating them into system and software development lifecycles.
Evaluate infrastructure changes and proposed solutions for security compliance, offering secure design recommendations to engineering teams.
Design security models for diverse environments, including cloud, on-premises, and hybrid systems, focusing on encryption, access management, and monitoring.
Architect and implement identity and access management solutions, such as single sign-on, multi-factor authentication, and privileged access management.
Partner with compliance teams during audits to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Research emerging security technologies and frameworks, recommending adoption strategies that enhance business value and reduce risk.
Assess third-party vendors and products for security posture and integrate findings into procurement decisions.
Requirements
Proven experience in data privacy, database security, and cybersecurity practices.
Strong knowledge of cyber governance and regulatory compliance requirements.
Proficiency in designing secure systems and implementing encryption techniques.
Expertise in identity and access management, including multi-factor authentication and privileged access management.
Ability to conduct risk assessments and threat modeling for complex systems.
Familiarity with cloud, hybrid, and on-premises security models.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across teams.
Demonstrated ability to stay informed on emerging security technologies and trends.
