Job Title: 3D CAD Operator

Location: Portland, OR (Hybrid - 1-2 days onsite per week)

Duration: 3-month contract with potential extension up to 6 months

Schedule: Approximately 20 hours per week

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled 3D CAD Operator/Technician to join an innovative design and engineering team on a short-term contract basis. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong technical expertise in 3D modeling and a passion for supporting creative and engineering projects.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Innovation team to assist in developing and refining 3D models for various design and engineering initiatives. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge projects in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Create, modify, and maintain 3D CAD models using Rhino 3D or similar software.
  • Collaborate with designers and engineers to translate concepts into accurate 3D representations.
  • Support both design-focused and engineering-driven projects, ensuring precision and adherence to project requirements.
  • Prepare files and documentation for internal reviews and presentations.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and refining models to meet functional and aesthetic standards.
Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Rhino 3D or comparable 3D CAD software.
  • Strong understanding of design principles and engineering requirements.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively within a part-time schedule.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Previous experience in a design or engineering environment is preferred.
Work Environment
  • Hybrid schedule: 1-2 days onsite per week in Portland, OR.
  • Flexible hours totaling approximately 20 hours per week.
