We are seeking a highly skilled and professional with strong functional expertise and solid technical understanding of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP platform. The ideal candidate will play a key role in assessing an existing, heavily customized Dynamics 365 environment, identifying areas for optimization, and designing a strategic roadmap for modernization, automation, and platform scalability.
This individual will also provide advisory leadership, work closely with business and IT stakeholders, and support ongoing Business-as-Usual (BAU) operations under a managed support framework.
Job Title: Dynamics 365 Techno-Functional Lead
Experience: 12+ years (minimum 8 years in Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations)
Roles & ResponsibilitiesAdvisory & Assessment:
- Conduct end-to-end health check and functional assessment of existing highly customized Dynamics 365 ERP implementation.
- Evaluate system design, customizations, integrations, and performance against best practices.
- Identify process and system optimization opportunities, recommending solutions leveraging native D365 capabilities, Power Platform, and Azure ecosystem.
- Define modernization and automation roadmap aligned to business goals and technology strategy.
Solution Design & Optimization:
- Translate business needs into efficient D365 Finance & Operations configurations and process improvements.
- Recommend rationalization of custom code, data model optimization, and use of standard features.
- Design automation opportunities using Power Automate, Copilot, and AI-driven insights.
- Collaborate with architects and technical teams to ensure proposed changes are scalable, secure, and compliant.
- Suggest Application portfolio rationalization against Dynamics 365 Platform capabilities
Managed Support & Continuous Improvement:
- Serve as functional lead for day-to-day managed support operations, ensuring coordination with offshore AMS team for timely issue resolution and incident management.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across finance, supply chain, and operations modules.
- Support testing, deployment, and documentation for fixes and enhancements.
- Provide functional guidance to offshore/onshore support teams.
Stakeholder Management & Governance:
- Act as a trusted advisor to business and IT leadership for ERP strategy and roadmap decisions.
- Work closely with Microsoft and partner ecosystem for escalations and platform best practices.
- Ensure adherence to governance frameworks, release management, and change control processes.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 12+ years of experience in Microsoft Dynamics ERP (AX / D365 F&O) with deep understanding of functional domains (Finance, Supply Chain, Projects, Manufacturing preferred).
- Strong techno-functional understanding of D365 architecture, data entities, workflows, and customization patterns.
- Experience in conducting ERP assessments and creating roadmap/optimization recommendations.
- Hands-on exposure to Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps) and integration with Azure services.
- Strong grasp of automation, AI enablement, and process optimization on Microsoft stack.
- Proven experience supporting managed services / BAU operations for enterprise clients.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, documentation, and presentation skills.
- Microsoft Dynamics certifications preferred.
