Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Application Support Engineer with experience supporting .NET-based applications in a banking or financial services environment. The ideal candidate will provide L1/L2 support, troubleshoot production issues, and ensure application stability and performance. A strong understanding of .NET technologies, SQL databases, and incident management processes is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Provide L1/L2/L3 support for .NET-based applications used in banking operations.
Monitor application health and performance using tools like AppDynamics, Splunk, or Dynatrace.
Investigate and resolve incidents, service requests, and application errors within SLAs.
Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues and drive permanent fixes.
Collaborate with development teams during bug fixes, enhancements, and releases.
Support CI/CD pipelines and deployments using tools such as Azure DevOps or Octopus Deploy.
Perform basic SQL Server queries for data investigations and support database-related issues.
Maintain documentation, including SOPs, runbooks, knowledge base articles, and change logs.
Participate in UAT/QA environment support and coordinate with testers and business users.
Ensure application compliance with banking regulations, audit, and security standards.
Handle on-call support during business-critical operations or as part of a rotational schedule.
Required Skills & Experience
3 6 years of experience in Application Support for .NET-based systems.
Strong knowledge of .NET Framework / .NET Core, IIS, and Windows Server environments.
Proficient in writing and debugging SQL queries (MS SQL Server preferred).
Familiar with incident, problem, and change management (ITIL preferred).
Experience in log analysis using tools like Splunk, Serilog, or Log4Net.
Exposure to monitoring tools like AppDynamics, SCOM, or similar.
Good understanding of CI/CD processes and deployment pipelines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
Nice-to-Have Skills
Knowledge of banking systems, payment gateways, or core banking applications.
Familiarity with cloud environments (Azure, AWS).
ITIL certification (Foundation level or above).
