Job Details
Access Data is working to identify Wireless Engineer candidates for an opening on our client's team. This role is integral to the planning, design, and engineering of our wireless network infrastructure. You'll integrate and illustrate complex communication architectures, evaluate new products, and lead wireless network problem resolution. Responsibilities also include developing and implementing operational procedures and driving network enhancements with improvement recommendations.
You'll need a deep understanding of data wireless networking, including the OSI Model and TCP/IP, and strong knowledge of IEEE, ANSI, and 802.11 standards, as well as Bridging, Switching, Routing, Ethernet, and Transport technologies. Expertise in wireless network design, architecture, protocols, and topology is essential. Familiarity with wireless network devices and design software like Visio is also required.
A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) is necessary. You should have 5+ years of dedicated wireless network experience and 10+ years of overall relevant experience. Cisco Certified Wireless Network Professional (CCNP) and other vendor-specific wireless training are highly valued.
