As a Pegasystems Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Cybersecurity and Technology Controls Digital Tech Team, you are an integral part of an agile team that is committed to improving, designing, and delivering the software elements of the firm's cutting-edge technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. As a developing member of a software engineering team, you implement software solutions by designing, developing, and technically troubleshooting various components within a technical product, application, or system, while acquiring the skills and experience necessary for growth within your role.

Job responsibilities
  • Executes standard software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting
  • Writes secure and high-quality code using the syntax of at least one programming language with limited guidance
  • Develop and design Pega BPM applications.
  • Perform solution architecture within the Pega PRPC environment.
  • Develop class structures, application frameworks, and data models
  • Discover/analyze/design/develop the best solution that aligns with the overall strategic direction and architecture and leverage industry best practices and design patterns to modernize, enhance and integrate systems and applications
  • Leverage technical expertise in Software to build integrations and technical capabilities that are innovative and align to modern architecture best practices


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
  • Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
  • Proven work experience as a Pega developer.
  • Advanced knowledge of Pega PRPC 5.x/6.x/7.x.
  • Familiarity with J2EE, XML, Java, JSP, and EJB.
  • Familiarity with Scrum and Agile methodology.
  • Hands-on experience in building/implementing cloud native application in a private/public Cloud environment i.e. AWS, Azure, Pivotal, or Google


Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Exposure to cloud technologies, such as AWS, Cloud Foundry, Kubernetes, etc.
  • Fast learner, nimble, flexible and able to adapt quickly
