Description

Join a winning team! SAIC's National Security and Space (NSS) Sector is currently hiring for a customer within the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) in Chantilly, VA. This customer is responsible for designing, building, and operating national security-related systems based in space, in the air, and on the ground. SAIC is a strong company providing opportunities for energetic individuals with a strong desire to expand their knowledge while increasing their responsibilities.

SAIC is seeking an IT Infrastructure Systems Engineer to provide Systems Engineering and Technical Advisory (SETA) services to a rapidly expanding Government Intelligence Community (IC) customer for a complex space and ground effort as part of an exciting and innovative set of programs.

The IT Infrastructure Engineer provides support to the Program Office in acquisition and execution of mission critical systems. The IT Infrastructure Engineer will serve as a SETA with responsibilities that may include but not limited to the following:
  • Cloud architecting and implementation
  • Implementing DevSecOps and on-boarding new technology
  • Supporting agile ceremonies, reviews, demos, and testing
  • Multi-year IT strategic planning
  • Evaluating infrastructure solutions, including architected frameworks, IaaS, and security
  • Advise on multi-level security and cross-domain solutions

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
  • Must have an active/current TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • Bachelor's and 14 years of experience; OR Masters and 12; significant customer experience will be considered in lieu of degree
  • 5 years of experience in IT operations, architecture, engineering, and/or software deployment
  • Experience with AWS and/or other commercial Cloud offering
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience with NRO's IT budgeting, provisioning, expenditure tracking and management
  • Proficiency with Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Confluence, etc.)
  • Experience with DevSecOps and CI/CD pipeline tools
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect
  • Exposure to FedRAMP, NIST, and FISMA compliance, Federal procurement, cybersecurity controls, or other Authorization and Accreditation (A&A) processes
