Job Title : QA Automation Engineer
Location : Austin, TX - Hybrid
Duration : 12+ Months

Job Description
The QA Automation Engineer will support the HHSC IT Applications - Social Services Applications initiatives. The candidate will work on automating tests, maintaining test plans, and providing quality assurance for a range of web-based applications and platforms including TIERS, YourTexasBenefits.com, Your Texas Benefits Mobile App, and more. The candidate will also collaborate with various teams to analyze requirements, execute tests, and support the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) using Agile methodologies.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Perform software quality assurance, testing, and support for various HHSC applications.
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain new and existing test plans and test scenarios for web-based J2EE/Portal applications.
  • Participate in requirements analysis, test design, test data preparation, and application testing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals.
  • Create technical and design documentation as needed.
  • Employ contemporary automated and manual testing methods to ensure quality software delivery.
  • Provide technical support for testing and implementation phases.
  • Attend design, coding, and test walk-through meetings to provide feedback and ensure alignment with standards and customer requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Candidate Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Solid understanding and experience with programming and testing concepts related to web-based UI applications.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field is strongly preferred.

3 Preferred Experience with Client UFT, Katalon, LoadRunner, SoapUI, LoadUI, Selenium, ALM, PPM, SQL, XML
3 Preferred Experience working in Agile teams with developers, testers, and end-users
3 Preferred Hands-on QA experience using UFT, SoapUI, Selenium, ALM, PPM, JIRA, JAMA, PL/SQL
