Job Title: Project Manager Duration: 8-Months (possibility for extension)
Location: Portland, OR

Project initiatives: Streamline and standardize project and portfolio management through consolidating tools and implementing a new software application.
Applications used: Quickbase, P6, ERP, Maximo, Coupa, Microsoft Products, WinEst, DevonWay.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage the project management governance of the SDLC process, including documents for obtaining project funding.
  • Lead a single major project or multiple moderate projects, such as business systems/process improvement, department reorganizations, and strategy implementation.
  • Develop project plans, including WBS, schedule, and cost baselines; identify project risks and mitigation strategies.
  • Establish and maintain formal controls to manage project budget, scope, quality, schedule, and risks.
  • Develop communication plans and strategies; provide timely updates on project plans and status to stakeholders.
  • Lead and/or facilitate business process improvement (BPI) activities.
  • Act as a change agent, driving continuous improvement using lean, Six Sigma, and other techniques.
  • Develop and maintain key relationships across the business, including with senior executives.

  • Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor s degree in business, communications, psychology, computer science, or related field; or equivalent experience.
  • PMP or CAPM certification required.
  • Typically, 8 or more years in project management or a related field.
