Job Description:

About the Role: We are seeking a highly experienced and analytical Actuarial Analyst to join our team in San Antonio, TX. This role is pivotal in leveraging advanced actuarial, mathematical, and statistical techniques to drive fact-based decision-making and solve complex business problems. The ideal candidate will possess strong data analysis capabilities, proficiency in various analytical software, and the ability to effectively communicate intricate findings to diverse audiences. A Bachelor's degree is required; alternatively, 4 years of related Actuarial/business/analytical experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of a degree.

Key Responsibilities:

Apply relevant actuarial, mathematical, and statistical techniques and approaches to support fact-based decision-making.
Perform comprehensive data analysis using a variety of tools and methodologies.
Develop analysis queries and procedures utilizing Python, R, SQL, SAS, or Business Intelligence (BI) tools.
Connect external insights to business problems, leveraging relevant industry data and methods.
Communicate complex solutions and analytical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences clearly and concisely.

Essential Skills:

Minimum of 8+ years of overall experience, with at least 4 years of dedicated Actuarial or analytical business experience.
Demonstrated competency with relevant actuarial, mathematical, and statistical techniques and approaches.
Intermediate knowledge of data analysis tools, including Python, R, SQL, SAS, and various Business Intelligence (BI) tools.
Proficiency in data visualization techniques.
Proven ability to develop analysis queries and procedures.
Strong experience in communicating complex solutions and analysis to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Completion of a minimum of 2 CAS (Casualty Actuarial Society) Exams.
