We re looking for a Senior Backend/Data Platform Engineer with extensive handson experience in Python, PySpark, and Databricks. You will be part of a talented team that builds next generation of high- performance data systems.

What You ll Do

  • Engineer, optimize, and maintain backend services and data platform using Python, PySpark, and Databricks.
  • Build scalable APIs and microservices that power mission-critical applications across the enterprise.
  • Work on PostgreSQL data models to ensure rock-solid reliability and performance.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams in delivering resilient, scalable platforms.
  • Dive into performance tuning, debugging, and production troubleshooting when systems need your expertise.
  • Integrate with external systems like OpenText (a plus, but not a must).

What You Bring

  • 8+ years of professional software engineering experience focused on backend systems.
  • Proven development skills in Python, PySpark, and Databricks especially for heavy data processing and platform work.
  • A deep understanding of backend architecture, distributed systems, and modern API design.
  • Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.
  • Experience working with cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and CI/CD tooling.
  • An independent, analytical mindset with a passion for tackling complex engineering challenges.
