Data Flow & Architecture Documentation Analyst

Job Description:

We are seeking a Data Flow & Architecture Documentation Analyst with strong expertise in data sourcing, architecture translation, and executive-level documentation. This role is highly focused on transforming conceptual design discussions into clear, comprehensive diagrams and delivering high-quality PowerPoint presentations for leadership teams.

The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, strong visual storytelling capabilities, and experience producing audit-ready documentation in data-heavy domains, preferably financial services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Translate conceptual design discussions into data flow diagrams, architecture documents, and process maps.
• Create end-to-end data flow diagrams, S2T mapping templates, transformation traceability docs, and data gap logs.
• Produce executive-level presentations with expert-level PowerPoint skills.
• Document validation rules, governance frameworks, and transformation controls across the data sourcing lifecycle.
• Collaborate with product leads, data architects, and engineering teams to iteratively build accurate documentation.
• Analyze metadata, table structures, and enterprise data pipelines to create system architecture documentation.
• (Nice to have) Exposure to regulatory reporting environments such as Y-9C, 2052a, Basel.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 6+ years in data sourcing, data architecture, business analysis, or solution design roles.
• Strong experience with data flow & architecture documentation.
• Proficiency with tools such as Gliffy, MS Visio, PowerPoint.
• Strong SQL knowledge and comfort with data platforms such as BigQuery, Cornerstone, or EDWs.
• Ability to create interactive diagrams using HTML, JavaScript, D3.js (preferred).
• Excellent collaboration and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
