Description

We're seeking a meticulous and motivated Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst to join our team in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a contract-to-permanent opportunity, offering the chance to contribute to the quality assurance of internally developed software applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in manual software testing, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a drive to deliver superior results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute detailed test scripts to evaluate software functionality and performance.
  • Perform comprehensive testing of applications, services, and processes to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Detect, document, and monitor software defects using an issue management platform.
  • Work closely with development and testing teams to address issues and improve application quality.
  • Analyze test outcomes and offer actionable feedback to optimize the software development lifecycle.
  • Ensure all testing activities are aligned with project schedules and milestones.
  • Collaborate in team discussions to refine and enhance testing strategies and approaches.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices, integrating them into the testing process.


Requirements

At least 5 years of experience in manual software testing and IT analysis.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Operations Management, or a related field.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to identify and address software issues.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate effectively with team members.
Familiarity with defect logging and tracking tools.
Experience in the financial industry or local government applications is a plus.
Knowledge of databases, system security, and troubleshooting is desirable.
A proactive and self-motivated approach to problem-solving.
