Company Description
Robert Bosch LLC seeks Sr. Software Engineer (Multiple Positions) at its facility located at 38000 Hills Tech Dr., Farmington Hills, MI 48331. Develop software functionality for embedded control systems for automotive applications such as Vehicle Control Unit (VCU), propulsion - combustion, hybrid and Electric - Control Unit (ECU) and Transmission Control Unit (TCU) as a member of Bosch global development team working on the latest generation microcontrollers/microprocessors and AUTOSAR standards. Engage in all phases of development - concept creation till release to customer. Perform rapid prototyping to support functional requirement development. Develop manual and modelbased code according to specification. Dive deep into analysis improving hardware-software interfaces and software testing. Test and validate new software features in the vehicle, on a dynamometer, a HIL, SIL or MIL. Debug and troubleshoot software, utilizing Bosch proprietary tools, customer tools and generic tools. Participate in program review meetings, interface studies, design review. Support customer test trips in hot, cold and high-altitude environments and provide local expertise for software. Act as direct contact with internal and external customers. Telecommuting: 2 days work from home permitted. Travel Requirements: 10% - domestic and international. REQS: This position requires a bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering or a related field. Plus 5 years of experience as a Product Development Engineer, Systems Engineer or occupation involving software languages and operating systems (real time OS, C, or embedded C). Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with: (1) ISO 26262 standard and safety management; (2) Embedded development language skills (Embedded C, extensible markup language (xml), Manufacturer and Supplier Relation (MSR) and AUTomotive Open System Architecture (AUTOSAR); (3) Internal Combustion, hybrid & electric powertrain Electronic Control Unit (ECU), Vehicle Control Unit (VCU), Transmission Control Unit (TCU), and Connectivity (V2X); (4) Software system design; (5) Rapid prototyping, testing and simulation environments (Dspace, Ehooks, or No-hooks); and (6) Cross-functional exposure to mechanical, electrical and software intensive systems.
