Lockheed Martin's Rotary and Mission Systems' C4ISR team is looking for a proven and experienced software developer to support the CommandIQ Product Line as the Software engineer.
CommandIQ's vision is to provide Command & Control and Missile Defense Battle Management capabilities - driving the evolution of joint multi-domain mission integration through advanced, agile, and interoperable C2 solutions. Join us in developing microservices and integrating them into various products and UI's.
The Work
Your role be developing microservices and integrating them with other products and User Interfaces include web based clients and thick clients. Day to day you will find yourself developing backend code using both Rust and Java. Alongside your fellow CommandIQ teammates, you will be contributing to integration and infrastructure efforts with Role Based Access Control (RBAC) solutions, such as Keycloak, and cloud solutions.

On this C4ISR IRAD team, you will collaborate with a cross-functional team of technical professionals including software developers, systems engineers, and integration and test engineers.
Your tasking will flow down from the Chief Engineer, Chief Architect, the backend development lead and the integration lead. You will also be periodically interfacing with CommandIQ leadership such as the Program Manager and the Engineering Program Manager.

Basic Qualifications
- Experience in software development with proficiency in Rust programming language (preferred) or C/C++ (considered)
- Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop creative solutions
- Experience with Agile development methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Experience using Atlassian tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence)
- Familiarity with containerization and APIs (e.g., Kubernetes, helm, gRPC, REST)
Desired skills
- Experience with testing frameworks and automated testing tools
- Experience with VMWare or similar Cloud Computing/Virtualization applications
- Familiarity with Keycloak or similar Identity Management system
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $89,300 - $157,550. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays.
