Work Hours: Standard U.S. business hours, with occasional flexibility needed for global coordination

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP BTP-IS Technical Lead for a contracted position supporting a multi-phase enterprise integration program. This role will be responsible for leading the design, execution, and delivery of complex integration solutions using SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), with a strong emphasis on SAP Integration Suite (IS).
As a senior-level resource with over 8 years of technical expertise, you will guide project execution, lead cross-functional requirement sessions, and help determine optimal middleware tools to support enterprise integration solutions. Candidate must be U.S.-based, able to work remotely, and available to travel to Pittsburgh, PA one week max every other month for on-site collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end technical delivery of SAP BTP and SAP Integration Suite solutions across SAP and non-SAP systems.
Conduct and facilitate detailed requirement sessions to understand business integration needs and assess middleware architecture options.
Recommend and implement best-fit integration patterns using tools such as SAP CPI, API Management, Event Mesh, and other BTP services.
Architect secure, scalable, and reusable integration frameworks while adhering to SAP and enterprise architecture standards.
Collaborate with enterprise architects, IT Infrastructure and Functional teams, and third-party vendors to ensure solution alignment and quality delivery.
Guide and support development teams across multiple concurrent projects.
Contribute to and responsible for project planning, effort estimation, risk management, and stakeholder reporting.
Stay current with SAP BTP innovations and propose continuous improvement opportunities.

Required Skills & Experience:
8+ years of technical experience in SAP environments, with a minimum of 4 years in SAP BTP and SAP Integration Suite.
Proven track record of leading complex integration projects involving SAP S/4HANA, ECC, and third-party platforms.
Strong knowledge of integration standards (OData, REST, SOAP, IDoc, BAPI), authentication protocols (OAuth2, SAML, JWT), and event-driven design.
Experience working with CAP (Cloud Application Programming) and API Gateway tools.
Experience with agile methodologies and DevOps tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins, Azure DevOps).

Preferred Qualifications:
SAP certifications in BTP, Integration Suite, or related areas
Exposure to hyperscaler infrastructure (AWS, Azure) in a BTP context
Experience in regulated industries (e.g., pharmaceuticals, finance, manufacturing)
