FedTec is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Java Developer. This role offers the chance to work at the forefront of technology, designing and implementing complex applications within the financial services sector.

Position: Sr. Java Developer

Work Location: Remote

Clearance: Must Be Eligible to Obtain a Public Trust Clearance

Primary Responsibilities

• Familiar with SAFe Agile SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), designs, plans, and coordinates work teams.
• Designs, codes, tests, debugs, and documents complex applications programs.
• Writes and executes automated Unit Tests and supports testing and release to integration, customer and prod environments.
• Works at the highest technical level of all phases of applications programming activities.
• Works and collaborates with testers and other teams members of the financial services team to implement appropriate solutions.

Required Skills:

• Experience using Java programming language with Spring boot/Spring framework/MVC and Struts.
  • Java (JDK 17) for backend services and Java (JDK 8) for UI components.
  • Spring Boot 3.4.5 for services and Spring Boot 2.7.18 for UI.
  • Spring Framework 5.3.26 and Hibernate 6.2.5 for persistence and performance
• Experience with Eclipse IDE, MS SQL Management Studio, Visual Studio Code and other IDE based tools.
• Experience with Hibernate, JPA, JNDI, JSP and Java EE technologies.
• Experienced with JavaScript, jQuery and Angular JavaScript frameworks.
• Experience with SPA based Angular app development.
  • Angular 15 and AgGrid 31.3.2 for dynamic, high-volume frontend data presentation
• Experienced with web application, and SOAP and REST API web services (must be familiar with XML and JSON) design
• Experienced with Junit, Mockito and code coverage frameworks. Basic understanding of TDD is required.
• Experienced on GitHub, Bitbucket, SonarQube, Sonar Lint, Dependency check, automating tests in Jenkins and experience in DevSecOps pipeline.
• Experience building microservices using Spring Boot.
• Strong Database concepts and SQL development experience and RDBMS concepts.
• Familiar with section 508 compliant UI design is a plus
• To be able to demonstrate current work is a plus
• Experience building containerized apps on an AWS or Azure DevOps environment.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree, preferably in area of specialty
• 2 to 10 years of experience in the field or in a related area
