Job Details
Role: Lead Cloud Engineer (Azure DevOps) with Terraform and Kubernetes
Location: San Jose, CA (Hybrid Onsite) - Minimum of 2 days a week at the office, with flexibility to come more days if events or workload require it
Job Type: W2 Contract

Job Mission:
- A Cloud Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring efficient development and operations by balancing service reliability with delivery speed.
- They leverage the Microsoft Azure platform to design and implement software delivery pipelines, deploy and monitor services, and manage incidents effectively - always learning from them to improve system resilience and performance.
- This role is part of the Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE).
Responsibilities:
- Develop solutions using modern programming (scripting) language for automation of build tasks (PowerShell, arm/bicep, YAML, terraform and/or C# would be a plus)
- Build and deploy resources using Infrastructure-as-Code
- Develop solutions using Azure DevOps
- Operations task, using cloud native tools, like Log Analytics, Azure Monitor and Azure Security Center or other monitoring tooling
- Deliver/update documentation (e.g. product descriptions, operational tasks) on CCoE wiki
- Be part of a multidisciplinary DevOps team which takes ownership of both new development and operational activities.
- Implement tasks related to network platform operations
Looking for the experience with:
- Configuring and using IaaS (like Virtual Machines)
- Configuring and using PaaS (like WebApp, Database services, Kubernetes, Data Lake, Databricks etc.).
- Networking principles and protocols such as IP subnetting, Network Security Groups, routing, Azure Firewall, ExpressRoute, load balancer, DNS, etc.
- Engineering and coding skills applied in an agile way
- Working with Azure DevOps for automated deployments.
- Always have costs and security in mind when creating new products or solutions.
- Understand the concepts of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) to maximize automation, reduce waste, increase scale and apply systemic thinking
- Working with Azure cloud native tooling
