we are a Tier 1 vendor for the City and County of San Francisco for Cloud Services, Staffing Services and Training Services. For this multi-year opportunity with a diverse set of needs to address, we are currently focusing on establishing partnerships with individuals as well as companies who can help us enhance our overall service portfolio, cut lead times, and ultimately help us deliver successfully. We currently hold sizable Government accounts in the San Francisco bay area including City and County of San Francisco, San Mateo County, and Santa Clara County.

Roles/Responsibilities:

1. Secure Printing Configuration

  • Objective: Ensure all copiers and printers are set up for secure printing.
  • Actions:
    • Configuration: Implement secure print features on all copiers and printers to prevent unauthorized access to sensitive documents.
    • Training: Conduct training sessions for staff to educate them on how to use secure print features effectively.
    • Support: Provide ongoing support to address any issues related to secure printing.

2. Wireless Access Design and Testing

  • Objective: Optimize wireless network performance and coverage.
  • Actions:
    • Design: Collaborate with the network team to design a robust wireless network architecture.
    • Testing: Perform rigorous testing to ensure network reliability and performance.
    • Optimization: Strategically place Wireless Access Points (WAPs) to maximize coverage and minimize dead zones.

3. Monitor and Docking Station Management

  • Objective: Ensure safe relocation and setup of monitors and docking stations.
  • Actions:
    • Relocation: Carefully relocate 2,000 monitors and 1,000 docking stations to new locations.
    • Security: Securely lock and cable-manage all monitors and docking stations to prevent damage and ensure organization.
    • Installation: Implement wire and cable management systems at each workstation for a clean and efficient setup.

4. Endpoint Management Systems Update

  • Objective: Reflect changes in location and network configurations in IT systems.
  • Actions:
    • Update Systems: Modify SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager), Active Directory, and other endpoint management systems to accommodate new locations and network VLANs.
    • Testing: Verify that all updates are correctly applied and functional.
    • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all changes for future reference.

5. Conference Room Equipment Installation

  • Objective: Set up and configure all conference room (38 rooms) technologies.
  • Actions:
    • Installation: Install and configure large TVs, conference room control systems, sound systems, telephony equipment, and video conferencing hardware and software.
    • Training: Provide training sessions for staff on how to use the new conference room equipment.
    • Support: Offer ongoing technical support to address any issues with conference room technologies.

6. Program-Specific Hardware Setup

  • Objective: Ensure all program-specific hardware is properly installed and configured.
  • Actions:
    • Installation: Set up lobby kiosks, lobby sound systems, EBT printers, and other program-specific hardware as required.
    • Testing: Perform thorough testing to ensure all hardware operates correctly.
    • Training: Train staff on the use and maintenance of program-specific hardware.

7. Decommissioning and Inventory Management

  • Objective: Efficiently manage the decommissioning and relocation of IT hardware.
  • Actions:
    • Decommissioning: Safely decommission and secure all IT hardware from the old buildings.
    • Inventory: Conduct a comprehensive inventory of all hardware to track its status and location.
    • Relocation: Coordinate the relocation of IT hardware to new buildings, ensuring proper setup and testing.

9. Project Management and Communication

  • Timeline: Develop a detailed project timeline outlining each phase of the relocation and IT infrastructure changes.
  • Team Coordination: Coordinate closely with all relevant teams (network, facilities, and support staff) to ensure seamless execution.
  • Updates: Regularly update all stakeholders on progress, potential issues, and resolutions.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address any challenges that may arise during the relocation process.

Mandatory Skills:

  1. 3 years' experience in Windows PC imaging
  2. 3 years' experience in desktop support installation of laptops, computer equipment, peripherals, software, and etc.

Desirable Skills:

  1. Experience with SCCM, Active Directory, and endpoint management systems.
  2. AV/telephony/video conferencing setup and training.
  3. Network design/testing (wireless optimization, VLANs).
