Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Java Developer with over 10 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-grade applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java-based technologies and significant experience in the healthcare and medical device domains, with a focus on compliance, interoperability, and system integration.

The candidate should be able to collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to architectural decisions, and ensure delivery of high-quality, scalable, and secure software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based applications and services.

  • Work closely with product managers, architects, and QA teams to deliver end-to-end software solutions.

  • Implement RESTful APIs, microservices, and database integrations.

  • Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.

  • Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and design sessions.

  • Ensure adherence to healthcare industry standards such as HIPAA, FHIR, HL7, and DICOM.

  • Collaborate with medical device teams to integrate software systems with connected devices and healthcare data platforms.

  • Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions.

  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to process improvements and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

  • 10+ years of professional experience in software development with Java / J2EE.

  • Strong knowledge of Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security).

  • Experience with RESTful APIs, Microservices, and Cloud technologies (AWS / Azure).

  • Proficiency with SQL / NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).

  • Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Familiarity with healthcare data standards: FHIR, HL7, DICOM.

  • Exposure to medical device software development lifecycle and regulatory frameworks (FDA, ISO 13485).

  • Strong understanding of data security and compliance in healthcare applications.

  • Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Angular / React / Vue for front-end development.

  • Knowledge of Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other messaging frameworks.

  • Familiarity with AI/ML integration in healthcare systems.

  • Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments.
