Workday HRIS Administrator - Security, Permissions & Prism Analytics

Location: Fully remote (travel required for preliminary onboarding)
Target Start Date: 1/12/2026
Type: Contract
Pay Rate: $70.00-$90.00/hr

Our client, a global leader in aerospace R&D, is seeking a contract Workday HRIS Administrator with certifications and core competencies in Security, Permissions & Prism Analytics to help support their internal team. The Workday HRIS Administrator (Security & Prism) is responsible for maintaining, securing, and optimizing the Workday HCM environment with a primary focus on security administration, role-based access, audit readiness, and Prism Analytics. This role ensures system integrity, regulatory compliance, and trusted analytics through expert configuration, testing, documentation, and collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and maintain Workday security roles, domain policies, access controls, and audit configurations.
  • Perform security impact assessments, role audits, and regression testing prior to deployments.
  • Configure and maintain Workday Prism Analytics, including data pipelines, dashboards, and analytical datasets.
  • Develop, modify, and validate advanced, matrix, and Prism-based reports and dashboards to support leadership, compliance, and audit needs.
  • Execute approved configuration updates across applicable Workday modules, ensuring alignment with internal controls and best practices.
  • Support Workday integrations by troubleshooting, testing, and coordinating updates with internal and external partners.
  • Document all configuration changes, security updates, testing results, and analytics deliverables to ensure audit readiness.
  • Provide expert guidance on Workday security architecture, analytics capabilities, and optimization opportunities.
  • Participate in key business cycles and ensure continuity of Workday operations through timely issue resolution.
  • Collaborate closely with HRIS, HR, IT, and enterprise stakeholders; provide clear status updates and issue escalation.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in HRIS, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Workday certification(s) including Security Roles and Prism Analytics; Core HCM certification preferred.
  • Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience supporting complex Workday environments.
  • Strong expertise in Workday security frameworks, access controls, audit support, and data governance.
  • Proven experience delivering validated, audit-ready reports and analytics.
  • Ability to apply Workday-recommended methodologies, testing protocols, and documentation standards.
