Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Champion the deployment of VCP principles and tools within engineering teams to achieve measurable improvements in quality, cost, and delivery.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and lead Kaizen events, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Develop and track KPIs related to engineering efficiency, project cycle time, and cost savings.
- Work closely with manufacturing, supply chain, and quality teams to ensure alignment and integration of VCP initiatives.
- Mentor engineers and team leaders on Lean principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and VCP best practices.
- Drive high-impact projects that support business objectives and customer satisfaction.
- Apply statistical tools and root cause analysis to identify opportunities and implement solutions.
- Manage and execute Six Sigma projects that deliver measurable business results.
- Provides technical support and evaluation of alternative material and processes to support supply chain needs.
- Participate in many phases of the product development life cycle
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Related Field
- 3+ years of experience with manufacturing or engineering product development, Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement frameworks.
Desired Characteristics
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt
- Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Established project management skills.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as heavy equipment mfg., assembly technology, materials technology, and manufacturing methods technology.
- Hands on hardware experience with mechanical or electrical assemblies and tooling.
