Location: Albany, NY (Onsite/Hybrid as required)

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced UI Developer (Developer Level III) to design and implement complex, scalable, and intuitive user interfaces for enterprise web and/or mobile applications. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in modern UI frameworks, a passion for building performant and user-friendly interfaces, and the ability to mentor junior developers while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Mandatory Qualifications

Experience Level III Over 7 years of experience on complex projects, including 2+ years in a leadership/developer lead role.
UI Development Expertise More than 7 years of experience with UI development patterns (including MVC) and scalable application design.
Web Development Skills Over 7 years of experience in:
- HTML, XML, JSON, AJAX
- JavaScript/TypeScript, Angular Framework (3 4+ years), jQuery, Bootstrap, CSS

Desirable Qualifications

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or related technical field.
7+ years of experience in .NET/C# for n-tier web applications OR Java/Spring Boot for n-tier web/cloud deployment.
7+ years of experience with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), secure web services, and SOAP/RESTful APIs.
7+ years of experience with Entity Framework.
7+ years using unit testing frameworks (xUnit/NUnit preferred).
5+ years using Git or other distributed version control systems.
2+ years designing and implementing CI/CD workflows.
2+ years working with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
2+ years of experience in federal or state government settings, especially Health and Human Services or Integrated Eligibility System programs (PA, TA, SNAP, HEAP, Fair Hearings, Child Support).

Duties and Responsibilities

Design and develop high-quality, reusable, and performant UI components.
Translate requirements into UI designs and functionality.
Collaborate with UX designers, business analysts, product managers, and developers for consistent user experiences.
Ensure compliance with UI/UX best practices, responsive design principles, SOLID principles, and Section 508 WCAG accessibility standards.
Optimize UI performance and scalability through efficient code and resource management.
Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards.
Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance.
Stay current with emerging UI development trends and technologies.
Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle: requirements, design, testing, deployment, and support.
