Job Details

Our client is developing a cutting-edge robotic product designed to revolutionize the automotive industry. They are seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Automotive Technician to join their team and support the integration, testing, and maintenance of their robotic automotive systems.

As anAutomotive Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, assembling, and troubleshooting vehicle platforms used in autonomous or semi-autonomous systems. You'll work closely with engineers and technicians across mechanical, electrical, and software disciplines to ensure vehicles are safe, functional, and ready for testing and deployment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform maintenance and repair of robotic vehicle systems including drive-by-wire systems, steering, braking, suspension, and powertrain components.
  • Assist in the installation and integration of robotic components (e.g., sensors, computers, actuators) into automotive platforms.
  • Support electrical wiring, harness routing, and sensor installation as required for autonomous vehicle builds.
  • Perform diagnostic checks and troubleshoot issues in collaboration with software and systems engineers.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, modifications, and test activities.
  • Conduct functional tests and assist in vehicle calibration and validation efforts.
  • Help enforce safety protocols and vehicle readiness prior to field testing or demonstrations.

Required Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience as an automotive technician or in a similar hands-on mechanical role.
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle systems (steering, braking, suspension, engine, electrical).
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and wiring schematics.
  • Familiarity with diagnostic tools and software for troubleshooting vehicle systems.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative R&D environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with electric vehicles (EVs), hybrid systems, or autonomous vehicles.
  • Experience with vehicle CAN bus systems and automotive electronics.
  • Basic fabrication or machining skills.
  • ASE Certification or equivalent training is a plus.
