PLEASE NOTE: This is a 3 month renewable contract and needs to meet Client full-time conversion policies. Those dependent on a work permit sponsor now or anytime in the future (ie H1B, OPT, CPT, etc) do not meet Client requirements for this opening.

Summary: The main function of the Attorney is to represent clients in litigation and other legal proceedings, draw up legal documents, and manage/advise clients.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients in court or before government agencies.
  • Present evidence to defend clients in civil litigation.
  • Interpret laws, rulings and regulations for individuals and businesses.
  • Present and summarize cases to judges and juries.
  • Prepare legal briefs and opinions.

Skills:

  • Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, and government regulations.

Education/Experience:

  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school required. Must be licensed to practice law in applicable state/province.
  • 5-7 years of legal experience required.
