About the role: As our sole IT Manager, you will be the central pillar of our technology infrastructure. You will be responsible for the seamless functioning of all computers, servers, networks, and other technological assets. This position is a critical blend of hands-on technical support and strategic planning, requiring a proactive and independent professional to ensure our IT systems are reliable, secure, and scalable for future growth. Since our golf facilities operate seven days a week, this role includes being the primary on-call contact for weekend support. In the event of a system or equipment issue, prompt response is essential to keep operations running smoothly and ensure a great experience for our athletes and customers.
Key responsibilities:
Infrastructure management: Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of all network hardware, servers, workstations, and peripherals.
System administration: Manage user accounts, access permissions, and software licensing. Handle system updates, patches, and routine maintenance tasks.
Technical support: Serve as the primary point of contact for all technical issues, providing effective and timely help desk support to all employees.
Security and compliance: Implement robust cybersecurity protocols and manage security software. Develop and enforce IT policies and procedures to protect company data and ensure compliance.
Vendor and budget management: Evaluate, negotiate, and manage relationships with external vendors, including Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and software providers. Develop and manage the annual IT budget.
Required qualifications and skills:
Experience: Proven experience in a similar all-encompassing IT role, managing and supporting a company's entire technology stack.
Technical expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of computer hardware, software, networking (LAN/WAN), server administration (e.g., Windows Server, Linux), and cloud solutions (e.g., Google Workspace, Azure). Experience with golf performance and simulation technologies such as Foresight Sports, GEARS Golf, and Toptracer systems is highly desirable.
Problem-solving: Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex issues efficiently and independently.
Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively translate complex technical concepts for non-technical employees and collaborate with senior leadership.
Project management: The ability to prioritize and manage multiple IT projects and initiatives, from initial planning to completion.
Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ are a plus.
Education: A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
