POSITION SUMMARY
The Network Engineer is responsible for deploying, configuring, and maintaining Cisco and Fortinet devices across banking center locations to ensure secure, reliable connectivity to the bank's data centers. This role includes network documentation, monitoring, troubleshooting, and supporting infrastructure upgrades and integrations.




KEY RESPONSIBILITIES




  • Deploy and manage Cisco and Fortinet network devices across branch locations, ensuring secure connectivity to the bank's managed data centers.




  • Create and maintain up-to-date network documentation, including "as-built" diagrams.




  • Monitor network performance and diagnose connectivity issues to ensure uptime and reliability.




  • Implement security protocols and features to safeguard against vulnerabilities and threats.




  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate SD-WAN solutions with existing infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls, access points, VPNs).




  • Work with third-party telecom providers to resolve circuit issues and schedule necessary maintenance.




  • Conduct configuration testing and validation to ensure compatibility and optimal performance across diverse environments.






QUALIFICATIONS




  • Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field or equivalent experience.




  • Cisco or Fortinet certifications preferred (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, NSE), or equivalent hands-on expertise.




  • Minimum 6+ years of experience with a focus on Cisco systems; Fortinet experience is a plus.




  • Strong background in network engineering and enterprise LAN/WAN technologies, with in-depth knowledge of routing protocols such as EIGRP and BGP.




  • Experience with IDF rack and stack installations, structured cabling, and physical equipment setup.




  • Skilled in performing software upgrades and routine maintenance on network hardware.




  • Familiarity with network security best practices and principles.




  • Understanding of software-defined networking (SDN), including Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA).




  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.




  • Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation with proper insurance.




Preferred (Not Required)




  • Experience with Cisco voice technologies (CUCM, Unity, CCX).
