Space Systems Engineer
The Opportunity:

You understand your customer's operational environment and begin to learn how to develop the right systems for their evolving mission needs. Your ability to help translate real-world needs into technical specifications and related architectures, makes you an integral part of helping to deliver a customer-focused and optimized solution.

As part of a larger engineering team, we're looking for you to work with an SE & I or integrated development team to solve complex challenges and shape various customer missions. Your team lead will t rus t you to not only help design and develop these systems, but also evolve them with the appropriate technology solutions and asso cia ted analyses that you'll support. Grow your expertise through mentoring, while broadening your skillset into areas like Cloud architectures and related implementations, AI / ML integration, sof tware or hardware frameworks, and more. Grow your skills by merging systems engineering with modern sof tware or hardware development approaches to create solutions more quickly. You Have:
  • 2+ years of experience with the systems engineering lifecycle
  • Experience using Micro sof t Office tools
  • Knowledge of various architecture frameworks such as DoDAF
  • Knowledge of systems engineering management processes such as risk, configuration, and requirements, and standards such as ISO / IEC / IEEE 15288: 2015
  • Ability to perform research and analysis for technical programs
  • Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field such as Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering


Nice If You Have:
  • Experience working with government contract ing
  • Experience with DoD customer missions and domains
  • Experience with systems engineering tools such as Vitech CORE or GENESYS, or SysML modeling tools such as Cameo or Rhapsody, depending on near-term and long-term project needs
  • Knowledge of Cloud technology and AI / ML algorithms to improve system performance
  • Knowledge of modern sof tware development approaches and processes
  • INCOSE Membership Certification


Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information ; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $69,400.00 to $158,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
