ob Title: Murex Analyst( Front Office)
Job Location: New York, New York ( Hybrid- 3 days onsite)
Job Type: Contract (Sponsorship provided)
A global bank is seeking a Front Office Murex Analyst to join the global markets team. The Front Office Murex Analyst will liaise with front office and sales team and assist them with daily queries and build new products liaising with London team based on Specs on standard market practice. Front to back implementation including post trade workflows. Work in close proximity with global teams to ensure core processes are leveraged. The team contributes in designing and implementing a resilient, efficient and scalable Information System for CM, in close cooperation with other relevant IT, business and operational teams in London and worldwide.
Must Have:
5+ years of experience in financial markets/IT business analysis
2 years of experience working with the Murex product on Trading or Front Office support
Ability to utilize front office experience on financial derivatives and Murex software to participate in implementation and upgrade projects through build and validation phases.
Provide high-quality support in using the Murex platform for market data management, pricing, and structuring of complex financial products within trading domain (e.g. FX derivatives, interest rates derivatives, Fixed Income etc).
Develop test cases to troubleshoot the system, document defective use cases for fixes by developers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide the business with software applications:
Make recommendations regarding booking models, product onboarding and modelling into Murex
Analysis, problem solving and escalation
Work closely with CM Quants, MOA, MOE and other relevant teams
Carry out training and skills assessments at regular intervals for peers
Follow the branch compliance rules Propose new projects to the business, take lead of dev prox topic, covering notably:
Innovative solutions
New business, activities and products
Opportunities for efficiency improvements
Requirements:
Strong understanding of the US Power and Gas Markets, including trade lifecycle of the physical settling trades
Strong experience working with Murex as a BA/Dev
Ability to navigate through Murex, booking models and setting up new products
Good understanding of the Murex architecture to be able to propose interim and strategic solutions
Good understanding of Curve setup and static data setup in MXG
Good understanding of risk and valuations within Murex

Skills and knowledge required:
o Good communication skills (business oriented o and technical oriented)
Face off to senior stakeholders in Front Office and control functions Market Risk, Credit Risk, Operations etc.
Experience within Financial Markets
Good understanding of derivatives and various instruments both listed and OTC Past experience of onboarding commodities products in Murex, especially Gas and Power UK, EU and/or US financial and physicals
