sUAV Test Engineer, Senior
The Opportunity:
When a user tries new sof tware, they expect it to be intuitive and run smoothly. Functionality, reliability, and user experience are key to successful solution development-and that means rigorous testing. That's why we need you, an experienced test engineer who knows how to thoroughly test solutions and work with developers to make sure our team releases the best solutions possible.
In this role, you'll develop and deploy test solutions for the Army's next generation of small Unmanned Aerial Vehicles ( sUAV ) payload dropped munitions solutions. Work with us as we develop solutions for the US Army.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. You Have:
- 5+ years of experience as a lead Test Engineer
- Experience developing comprehensive test plans and cases to ensure quality and functionality align with user requirements and standards
- Experience executing integration and test efforts, analyzing results, identifying issues, and determining root cause corrective actions ( RCCA )
- Experience evaluating new testing technologies and tools for potential adoption to improve testing processes and outcomes
- Knowledge of Small Unmanned Aerial Systems ( sUAS ) including types and applications, navigation and controls, and components and capabilities, such as range and payload
- Ability to facilitate collaboration between technical teams, project management, and stakeholders
- Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree in a technological field
Nice If You Have:
- Experience in the military in a combat related role preferred
- Experience mentoring junior test engineers, providing guidance on testing best practices, techniques, and tools
- Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
- FAA Small UAS Rule, Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification
