Overview

We are seeking a Assoc. Manager Azure Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our cloud infrastructure team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, maintaining, and optimizing highly scalable, resilient, and secure Azure cloud environments. You will collaborate with engineering, security, and operations teams to ensure high availability, performance, and efficiency of mission-critical applications.

Responsibilities

  • Cloud Infrastructure & Reliability: Design and maintain scalable and resilient Azure cloud architectures, ensuring high availability and fault tolerance.
  • Automation & Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop and manage Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates to automate infrastructure provisioning.
  • Monitoring & Observability: Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, and Prometheus.
  • Incident Management: Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and post-mortem processes to improve system reliability.
  • CI/CD & Deployment Automation: Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
  • Security & Compliance: Implement Azure security best practices, including Identity & Access Management (IAM), Defender for Cloud, and regulatory compliance (SOC 2, ISO 27001).
  • Performance & Cost Optimization: Optimize Azure services for cost efficiency and performance using FinOps methodologies.
  • Collaboration & Support: Work closely with development, security, and DevOps teams to improve system architecture and operational excellence.
  • On-Call & Support: Participate in an on-call rotation to support critical incidents and drive automation to reduce manual toil.

Compensation and Benefits:
  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $89,000 - $149,000.
  • Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 10% of annual salary paid out annually.
  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Cloud Engineering role with a strong focus on Azure.
  • Deep expertise in Azure services (Virtual Machines, AKS, Azure Functions, App Services, Azure SQL, Storage, Virtual Networks).
  • Strong scripting & automation skills in Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
  • Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Spinnaker).
  • Strong understanding of Kubernetes (AKS) and container orchestration.
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry.
  • Solid knowledge of networking, security best practices, and compliance in Azure environments.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex distributed systems and improve system reliability.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Azure certifications (AZ-400: DevOps Engineer, AZ-104, AZ-305).
  • Experience with multi-cloud environments (AWS, Google Cloud Platform).
  • Knowledge of FinOps principles and cost optimization strategies.
  • Experience with Zero Trust Security, SASE, or SD-WAN solutions.
  • Background in high-traffic applications or fintech environments.
