Job Title: Senior Data Center Technical Support Associate

Job Summary:

2 Shifts

2 to 10 est or 10 to 6 est

As a Senior Data Center Technical Support Associate, you will play a critical role in supporting Fiserv s mission-critical data centers by ensuring their optimal operation and reliability. You will implement IT solutions aligned with enterprise standards, provide technical support for hardware and infrastructure across distributed, storage, and mainframe platforms, and contribute to the management of IT cabling and low-voltage communication infrastructure. In this 24x7x365 high-availability environment, you will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver exceptional service and ensure seamless operations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree or high school diploma/GED with relevant experience.
  • Minimum 7 years experience working in a 24x7x365 production data center environment.
  • Experience with ITIL V3 & Change Management principles
  • Demonstrated expertise with Tier 1 IT hardware and data center trade tools.
  • Hands-on experience installing and managing low-voltage communication cables and IT hardware.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and work at heights of 6 to 12 feet.
  • Flexibility to work all shifts in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ITIL Professional Certification.
  • Experience with SharePoint site management.
  • Familiarity with DCCA processes and practices.
  • Understanding of financial services technology and solutions.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Center Operations:

  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain data center hardware and IT infrastructure.
  • Perform routine and non-routine administration of production and non-production environments.
  • Manage and implement IT cabling infrastructure, including low-voltage communication cables (Fiber and Cat 6).

Technical Support:

  • Provide escalation-level support for hardware and IT infrastructure to remote offices.
  • Install, diagnose, and resolve issues related to IT hardware and peripherals.
  • Collaborate with vendors for problem determination and resolution.

Change and Incident Management:

  • Apply ITIL principles for effective change and incident management.
  • Ensure compliance with established operational policies and procedures.

Documentation and Communication:

  • Maintain and update architectural documentation for current and planned infrastructure solutions.
  • Document technical specifications, implementation plans, and operating procedures.
  • Effectively communicate with internal teams and clients to deliver technical solutions and updates.

Project Support:

  • Support small to medium-sized projects by defining implementation plans and coordinating with stakeholders.
  • Articulate technical requirements and ensure successful project execution.
