Location: San Jose, CA

Duration: 6+ Months Contract

Job Description:

  • We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Cisco technologies to support and maintain our multi-site network infrastructure in San Jose, California.
  • The ideal candidate will have a solid background in routing, switching, and wireless solutions, with a focus on day-to-day operational support rather than project management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Level 2-3 support and maintenance for Cisco network infrastructure, including Catalyst 9000 series and Nexus switches.
  • Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Layer 2 network components.
  • Support Meraki wireless solutions and monitor US office network equipment.
  • Understand and troubleshoot multi-site networking and connectivity issues.
  • Read and interpret network diagrams to support issue resolution and equipment configurations.
  • Collaborate with a small distributed IT team to support approximately 600 700 end users.
  • Familiarity with Aruba SD-WAN is a strong plus.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of relevant hands-on experience, ideally in a Level 2 network support role.
  • Strong technical skills in Cisco routing, switching, and wireless solutions.
  • Experience supporting enterprise network environments across multiple locations.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently on technical issues.
  • Ability to understand and interpret technical network documentation and diagrams.
  • need to have extensive experience with Cisco Firewalls, Meraki Wireless platforms and Cisco Switch configuration and settings.
  • Experience with Cisco products : Catalyst 9000 and FirePower
