Job Title - Sr. Electronics Field Service Technician
Work Mode- Onsite (Irving,TX)
Work Time - 2 PM - 10:30 PM CST
Position Summary:
We are seeking a Sr. Electronics Systems Field Support Technician to troubleshoot and maintain Airport parking controls systems. Experience in parking control systems and operations is preferred; however, if you meet the required experience below, then training in parking control systems will be provided.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (May perform any or all of the following):
- Troubleshoot and maintain airport parking control systems, including IP/analog cameras, control panels, and network-connected devices
- Install, configure, and repair electronic and low-voltage systems such as structured cabling, sensors, and parking access hardware.
- Read and interpret technical diagrams, wiring schematics, and network layouts to diagnose and resolve complex field issues.
- Conduct diagnostics and testing using tools such as multimeters, cable testers, and tone generators to identify and resolve faults.
- Document service activities, including issue resolutions, system configurations, and maintenance logs for internal records and compliance.
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to escalate complex issues and ensure timely resolution of field service tickets.
- Provide on-call support and respond to service requests during flexible hours, ensuring minimal downtime of parking systems.
Required Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in electrical systems, control systems, technical troubleshooting, and field support roles.
- Hands-on experience with structured cabling and network hardware installation.
- Experience troubleshooting IP/analog camera systems and electronic components.
- Experience demonstrating the ability to read schematics, diagrams, and network layouts.
- Experience using diagnostic tools: cable testers, multimeters, tone generators and conducting low-voltage diagnostics and power testing.
- Experience documenting system fixes and configurations.
- Experience collaborating with vendors and escalating advanced issues when necessary.
- Experience demonstrating excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in parking control systems and operations.
- Experience in the installation, configuration, and repair of parking control components.
Preferred Certification:
- Certified Low Voltage Systems Technician (CLVST)
Required Abilities:
- Ability to work flexible hours and adjust schedules as needed to meet job requirements.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, and to maintain harmonious internal and external working relationships.
- Ability to be On-Call via personal cell phone or other department-defined method.
