We are looking for Oracle Database Administrator for our client in Boston, MA
Job Title: Oracle Database Administrator

Job Description:
Pay Range: $54hr - $57hr
  • The Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) will be responsible for administering, maintaining, and supporting Oracle 19c databases in both production and development environments.
  • This role ensures database performance, security, and reliability while working closely with development and infrastructure teams to optimize and enhance database operations.
Responsibilities:
  • Administer, maintain, and support Oracle 19c databases in production and development environments.
  • Perform database health checks, tuning, and optimization of SQL queries, indexes, and instance parameters.
  • Manage RMAN backup, restore, and recovery strategies to ensure business continuity.
  • Monitor databases using Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and automate alerts and reports.
  • Handle user management, roles, privileges, and security configurations following best practices.
  • Apply patches, perform upgrades, and ensure adherence to change control processes.
  • Support Oracle Internet Directory (OID) configurations and related authentication integrations.
  • Troubleshoot performance and availability issues, collaborating with development teams for database design improvements.
  • Document standard operating procedures, maintenance logs, and recovery runbooks.
Requirement/Must Have:
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on DBA experience managing Oracle 12c/19c environments.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, and database performance tuning techniques.
  • Proven experience with RMAN backup and recovery.
  • Proficiency in Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) for monitoring and reporting.
  • Experience with Oracle Internet Directory (OID) and security administration.
  • Knowledge of RAC, Data Guard, and high availability concepts.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
Should Have:
  • Experience in AWS RDS or OCI for Oracle database environments.
  • Familiarity with automation scripting (Shell, Python, or Ansible).
  • Exposure to ITIL processes and managed services environments.
