Job Description:
  • Software Application Developer Analyst, Level 3
  • Targeted Years of Experience: 5 to 7 years
Responsibilities:
  • Configure and customize core ServiceNow applications and modules to fit the specific needs of the business, including ITSM, CMDB, SPM, etc.
  • Support integrations between ServiceNow and other systems or platforms using web services, APIs, or other integration tools.
  • Identify and resolve issues with the ServiceNow platform, including debugging and troubleshooting problems with scripts, workflows, or integrations.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for ServiceNow configurations, customizations, and integrations.
  • Collaborate with architects, project managers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into workflow solutions.
  • Confer with systems analysts, engineers, programmers and others to design system and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces.
  • Modify existing software to correct errors, allow it to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance.
  • Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
  • Develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation.
Must Have Skills (Most Important):
  • Demonstrated experience with JavaScript, XML, HTML, and CSS. Other programming languages and frameworks such as React, Python, and SQL is a plus.
  • Experience configuring and customizing core ServiceNow modules (such as ITSM, CMDB, SPM) in an enterprise environment including workflows, business rules, UI actions, UI policies, and ACLs.
  • Experience configuring and customizing in ServiceNow tools such as Flow Designer, integration Hub, UI Builder, Playbook, and Configurable Workspace.
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow Scoped Applications Development, ServiceNow Scripting, and implementing ServiceNow Architecture.
  • Experience in using ServiceNow APIs, such as REST, SOAP, and JSON.
Desired Skills:
  • Other programming languages and frameworks such as React, Python, and SQL is a plus.
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow Scoped Applications Development, ServiceNow Scripting, and implementing ServiceNow Architecture.
  • Experience with SNOW Automated Test Framework.
Desired Education/Certifications:
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) or ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)
  • Experience with ServiceNow Telecommunications Service Management (TSM)

Job Overview:
  • Location: Fully Remote / Home-based

Core Role & Responsibilities:
  • The primary focus of the role is ServiceNow development.
The candidate will be responsible for:
  • Developing custom scoped applications and workflows to accelerate the business's sales cycle.
  • Translating business requirements from stakeholders and the Business Analyst team into technical solutions.
  • Creating complex UI Policies, client scripts, and business rules.
  • Working on integrations with other platforms.
  • The role is approximately 80% development and 20% admin-related tasks (e.g., managing groups, access controls).
Technical Skill Requirements:
Must-Have Skills:
  • Expertise in ServiceNow Development: Proficiency across the platform is more critical than experience in a single module. The focus is on custom builds.
  • JavaScript: Required for platform customization.
  • Experience with ServiceNow modules like ITSM and CMDB.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively consult with business analysts and stakeholders.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills:
  • Telecom Service Management (TSM): Experience is preferred but not a deal-breaker.
  • Strategic Portfolio Management: Experience is a plus.
  • React, Python, SQL: Considered a plus but not a requirement.
  • ServiceNow Certifications: Desired to confirm proficiency and knowledge of best practices.
Skills Not Required:
  • RPA / UiPath: This is no longer a requirement, as the team is moving towards API-based integrations.
Team Structure:
  • The developer will join an existing team that includes admins, full-time employees, and other contractors.
  • The team is embedded within the business unit it supports, developing applications \"for the business, by the business.\"
  • This is an expansion of the current team due to increased project demand and is identical to a recently filled position.
Interview Process:
  • Single Stage: A one-hour interview with the hiring manager, Stephanie Bruzek.
  • Format: The interview will include behavioral questions and technical questions focused on the candidate's past projects and experience.
  • No Coding Exercise: There will not be a live coding test or take-home exercise.

Pay Range: $52hr- $55hr on w2
