JOB TITLE: Lead Software Engineer
REMOTE TYPE: Office Worker
*Office Worker: In office position with work from home allowed, i.e. flex or hybrid worker
JOB LOCATION: 3400 W. Plano Parkway, Plano TX 75075 [hybrid position]
DUTIES: Design, develop, test, deploy, and provide application support including troubleshooting and maintenance with a focus on automation. Gather and review software requirements and user stories, provide estimates, and create software design specifications. Collaborate with engineers and architects to assess and test hardware and software interactions. Create and execute automated test plans and strategies utilizing business requirements. Validate test environments, test data, and test results. Design and implement code fixes, validate outcomes against expected results, and produce associated reporting. Perform dynamic application security testing, interface testing, integration testing, end-to-end testing, and user acceptance testing. Utilize Java, Go Lang, automation using shell and python scripts. Apply advanced knowledge of Terraform, Packer scripting for cloud automation, Docker and containerd orchestration with Kubernetes Orchestration PaaS platform. Utilize GitOPS using Flux and Helm Charts, CI/CD with DevOps and Jenkins pipeline tools. Utilize configuration management using Ansible, Cloud-init scripts in YAML and JSON. Utilize Cloud IaaS Platforms on OpenStack/Cloud Stack/Azure, and Linux/Ubuntu based operating system. Apply advance knowledge in Observability with Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, OpenSearch Tools, Agile and DevOps Model.
REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Computer Science or Computer Engineering and five (5) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered, or five (5) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in a related occupation utilizing Java, Go Lang, automation using shell and python scripts; applying advanced knowledge of Terraform, Packer scripting for cloud automation, Docker and containered orchestration with Kubernetes Orchestration PaaS platform; utilizing GitOPS using Flux and Helm Charts, CI/CD with DevOps and Jenkins pipeline tools; utilizing configuration management using Ansible, Cloud-init scripts in YAML and JSON; utilizing Cloud IaaS Platforms on OpenStack/Cloud Stack/Azure, and Linux/Ubuntu based operating system; applying advance knowledge in Observability with Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, OpenSearch Tools, Agile and DevOps Model.
