The role requires DevOps experience, with the ability to assist and upskill existing DevOps resources. In addition to management responsibilities, the candidate must be hands-on, capable of rolling up their sleeves to support the team during bandwidth constraints. They should be adept at driving technical work to completion, unblocking sysops and devops efforts, and contributing directly to the team's deliverables. Strong organizational skills, the ability to bring structure to a team, and a background in system operations and deployment processes are essential.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced IT Systems Manager to oversee and optimize our internal IT infrastructure and systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing infrastructure, enhancing cybersecurity posture, leading the IT team, and aligning IT operations with the company s strategic goals. This is a fully remote opportunity that requires collaboration with cross-functional teams including Development, DevOps, and Operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Infrastructure Management
- Oversee design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure (servers, networks, cloud).
- Ensure high system availability, performance, and scalability.
- Manage disaster recovery planning, backups, and updates.
Security & Compliance
- Implement cybersecurity protocols and data protection policies.
- Maintain compliance with GDPR, PCI-DSS, and other industry standards.
- Perform risk assessments and regular security audits.
Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor IT team members, providing technical and career guidance.
- Prioritize tasks and ensure timely resolution of support tickets and strategic initiatives.
Strategic IT Planning
- Align IT strategies with business objectives.
- Identify, evaluate, and implement new technologies and innovations.
- Lead complex IT projects, system integrations, and migrations.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Maintain relationships with vendors and service providers.
- Support cross-departmental tech needs and facilitate solution delivery.
- Ensure optimal use of IT tools across the organization.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
Experience:
- 5+ years in IT Systems Management or a similar role.
- Proven experience in leading teams and managing enterprise-level IT projects.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
- Hands-on experience with enterprise infrastructure and virtualization tools.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity, compliance frameworks, and monitoring tools.
- Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
