Join the Publix Technology team as a Sr. Business Systems Analyst where you will be part of a fast-paced team working on the point-of-sale system. You will play a key role interacting with enterprise teams and product management to analyze and write user stories to develop features that consider user experience, accessibility, performance, quality, cross-system interdependencies, and scalability. Under general guidance, this position is responsible for developing project plans, managing projects, monitoring project performance, and developing implementation plans for highly complex technology solutions.

The most suitable hire for this position will be a technical candidate with strong analytical, planning, problem solving, writing, and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with management, peers, technology vendors, and business unit customers.

Job responsibilities will include:
  • Lead team in the development of project plans, estimation of projects, project management, monitoring project performance, and development of implementation plans
  • Facilitate requirements gathering sessions to document business and system requirements, user stories, and refine product backlog for highly complex technology solutions under general guidance; ensure work performed is in line with business strategy
  • Analyze and document business processes, gather requirements based on those processes, and uncover areas for improvement
  • Provide leadership and work prioritization for projects monitoring deliverables and ensuring timely completion
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related analytical field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years business systems analysis experience
  • Minimum of 5 years IT experience planning and managing all activities associated with delivering solutions in a large-scale distributed environment
  • Minimum of 5 years? experience analyzing business problems and translating business requirements into technology solutions
  • Working knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) with the ability to work within the defined roles and responsibilities
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • 7+ years of business systems analysis experience
  • Experience working as a Scrum Master within an Agile Scrum framework and its application in product development and delivery
  • Experience utilizing Agile project management and code management tools (e.g., Azure DevOps or Jira)
  • In depth SQL query knowledge
  • Basic programming ability in .Net and C#
  • Scrum Master Certification (CSM)
