Job Title: Major Projects Contract Manager, Expert Job ID: 25-10698 Location: Oakland, CA Duration: FTE

Overview:

Client seeks an experienced Contract Manager to support procurement for complex, high-value capital infrastructure projects. This role develops and executes sourcing strategies, manages contracts, and partners with project managers, construction, engineering, legal, and sourcing teams.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead procurement strategy and contract management for major projects.
  • Manage end-to-end sourcing (EPC, PDB, DB, CMAR).
  • Negotiate contracts, change orders, and dispute settlements.
  • Monitor vendor performance and drive process improvements.
  • Provide QA/QC oversight and training on contract policies.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to optimize procurement.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years in contract management for major heavy civil, pipeline, or industrial construction projects.
  • Strong expertise in EPC/CMAR/PDB/DB contracting strategies.
  • Skilled in negotiation, vendor management, and project procurement.
  • Proficiency in MS Office & contract systems (e.g., SAP, Ariba).

Preferred:
  • Master s in Construction Management or related field.
  • Certifications: PMP, PgMP, CCE, Lean Six Sigma.
  • Experience in QA/QC of contract documents, cost estimating, scheduling.

Compensation:

The annual starting salary for this position is between $114,000 $162,800 annually.
